Qassem said the attack came as talks were taking place in Cairo on implementing the US-brokered Gaza “ceasefire” agreement. Israel has repeatedly bombed Gaza since the deal came into force last year, turning the so-called truce into another instrument of pressure on Palestinians. “This confirms that the occupation is working to undermine and destroy the agreement,” the statement said.
