Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian and the United Arab Emirates' Crown Prince Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed met in New Delhi on Saturday on the sidelines of the Brics summit, the Iranian embassy in India said.
The Iranian embassy said Pezeshkian “held a meeting and talks” with the UAE crown prince, posting a photograph of the two leaders on social media.
The meeting comes as Tehran and Abu Dhabi remain at odds over the war in the Middle East. Brics comprises Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates and is meeting in the Indian capital.
