A pregnant Palestinian woman died on Saturday from injuries sustained after being shot by Israeli forces south of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Iman Shalouf, 27, was sitting inside her family’s tent in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis when Israeli gunfire struck her in the head, according to Drop Site.
She was rushed to Nasser Hospital, where doctors initially detected her unborn baby's heartbeat and believed the baby might survive. However, both the woman and her unborn baby succumbed.
Her husband, Sulaiman Abu Mashi, told Drop Site that she had about two months and a week left before giving birth to the baby they had named Ayoub.
