Three men dead after west London building fire
Blaze broke out in single-storey pavilion in New Zealand Way in White City on Saturday eveningThree people have died after a fire at a building in London, the London fire brigade (LFB) has said.The fire service said it received reports of the blaze in New Zealand Way in White City, west London, at 6.52pm on Saturday.Three men were rescued from a single-storey building by firefighters and treated at the scene by paramedics close to Loftus Road, Queens Park Rangers ground.Two were declared dead at the scene and another died later in hospital, LFB said.Fifteen fire engines and about 100 firefighters were involved in the response.LFB assistant commissioner Pat Goulbourne said the cause of the blaze is under investigation by its specialist fire investigation officers and the Metropolitan police.He said: “The fire involved a single-storey pavilion, with just over half of the structure damaged by the fire.”Goulbourne added: “Control officers mobilised crews from North Kensington, Acton, Chiswick and surrounding fire stations to the scene.“Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control by 9.25pm.”
